Founder, Rip Red Tape
As a young military officer I led my teams to success across five continents despite an infuriating bureaucracy. At Barksdale Air Force Base I was stratified as the #1 of 94 lieutenants in the world’s largest bomb wing. As a Captain I was appointed Executive Officer to the 2d Bomb Wing, directly impacting the leadership of 5,850 Airmen across 18 squadrons.
Having navigated the inefficient work-culture of the Department of Defense, I arrived at an essential philosophy:
External Red Tape comprises rules and regulations that slow organizations down.
Internal Red Tape comprises organizational norms that don’t match the values of members.
From these principles emerge numerous articles. It is my intent to be among the world’s most vocal opponents of inefficient work culture.
